your father has quite recovered after his operation, its always such an anxious time, with operations etc. No, the amount of German I have learnt is Nix, I did start, but knocked it off, & teach Norwegian instead, I have 7 now, quite enough!

Now I must close. So please write soon & fairly often. I don't know whether it is necessary to stamp letters from Canada to prisoners of war, it is all free from England, you might make enquiries.
