Don't you make fun of my choice & taste in clothes. You just ask me to get you some 'long jersy' & see what lovely 'chick' things I'll get - & as for hats -- why, they'd just be the very limit - I mean the very last word in hats (I bet they would too).

Well, here I am doing damn all & getting paid for it too by the Canadian Govt - funny isn't it? Never had such a lazy time in my life, no work, no worry, no girls, no nothing - my mind is more of a blank than usual & that is just going some, believe me.

Well, lots of funny things have happened since my last letter - By the bye my writing is absolutely first class - a damn bad pen, a damn rotten piece of paper, damn writing ink, a damn full stomach (eaten too much dinner) & a damn awful thirst are not conducive to copper plate work, eh. Well my next letter will be the real thing.

Anyhow to return - I think I told you I was taking a Staff Course believing that to be the best way to get to France, but a month after it had started a new idea was invented by Sam. It is rumoured
