Wed 11 Jul - Capt Kekerson returned - Walked up to old Front Line with Bridgeman for view.

Thurs 12 July. Rode to Sully Grenay with Major Latta. Had tea & on to Bouvigny Boy Effles [illegible] . Major Shoffil Senior Chaplain dined with me. Bn moving over to R St[?] this night.

Frid 13 July - Rode in Angres with Major Latta up the Sonoby R & saw our old trenches & outposts. Major Latta stayed in. Bn moved up to Front Line this night .

Satdy 14th FGCM Pte Welsh . Major Piper Resot. Thunderstorms & very hot. Capt harman reported 15th.

Mond. 16th July. Preparing for Bn to Come out to BULLY Grenay tonight.

Tuesd 17: Shelling in B.G. too much for comfort. Bn moved to Bouvigny huts. Bivouacted 1.30 night! Afterwards [illegible]. Heavy rain.
