Sun 4 Feb Walked with Bluett to Samer where had a real French meal with Frenchmen & on via the top of hills to Nesles & home through Forest of Hardelot. Tea at Mrs Dickinsons. Bright, snowy & cold.

Mon 5 Feb More snow during night.

Tues 6

Wed 7 - Tactical exercise without troops. v. interesting & lecture on artillery. In pm to Boulogne for dentist. Dined at {illegible] - Catalan with Allworth & Lee.

Fri 9

Sat 10 Went into Boulogne to see Major Barton. (Revd)

Sund 11 Feb Ch Parade- Walk - In pm walk with Penah thro woods to sea & home & Hardelot Plage. Tea at Pre Catalan. Much warmer.

M12 Tues 13

Wed 14 Feb To Boulogne to order clothing - Dined at Pre Catalan with Lee & Allworth.
