1 April 1918

Easter Monday

My dear brother

Many thanks for your birthday wishes, may they be fulfilled & that before too long before desire shall fail and before the beauties of the world have lost all attraction. No I don't want to come back a wreck & a burden. Anything rather than that but I should like to come back if there is still any work left for me to do when this business on my part in it is finished. Thank you too for the wooden box of delicious Hamsterly sweets which arrived in perfect condition & were gobbled up by us today.

Pease & his wife seem to be keeping up their energy & business initiative.

April is always a great month for this Bn.
