at least we want to give them something that they will like & we have to buy it - It means an awful lot to them - more than we could possible realize if we had not been living this life.

About the 3rd or 4th January the Battn will be in the only place where it is possible to get the men together & we propose to have a celebration then.

I have therefore guaranteed a contribution from you to our Colonel of £50 - £60 pounds for this purpose instead of any thing for C Co.
