RAC Per Ardua Ad Astra
Camp Rathbun Deseronto
they have written, asking me to come and stay some week-end with them which is very kind of them indeed. They said they wanted to hear of you and dad as they had not seen you in so long. I think I will suggest that they motor up some Sunday as they are not so far away. I may get a chance to fly down and see them for a short time some day. Unluckily I have not been able to see Aunt Mary yet, but hope to get a week-end leave soon to get to Toronto. When I do I must go and see the R.F.C. paymaster and collect my $200 uniform allowance and order some new clothes. The weather is very hot here now and this R.F.C. tunic (nicknamed "maternity jacket") is unbearably warm so I need something cooler I will also have my photo taken when I get to town so you can see what your "high flying" son looks
