Camp Borden June 26 1917
Dear People:-
I have just returned from a couple of days with Uncle Fred and Aunt Jessie. Your wire Mother dear reached me last Tuesday night by telephone. I am sorry that you should have worried about me but I think that my last letter will have put you at ease. I did not wire a reply as the telegraph office is a long way from here and I had no opportunity of going away from camp for the necessary time and was unable to phone a message to be sent.
