after peace is declared, I may be able to get home sooner. I'm going to start inquiries as to service as a regular in Royal Air Force, or rather the Canadian Air Force, with a view to technical work. As I've more knowledge of the business than any other and the future promises big things in aircraft it may give a good opening to return to. Mind you I have only been thinking this over and have decided on nothing as yet. What do you think of it, Dad? I have heard that the Air force will give big pay after the war, but then that may be only a rumor.

Well, dear people, its about dinnertime and I'm going to have dinner here with a couple of R.A.F. pilots so will close. Much love to you both as ever

Your affectionate son Haworth
