be done without great effort – and the squadron has been putting forth its best. Since our retreat last March I don't think I have know so busy a time. Isn't it great to think the Hun is right back out of his great line of defense — the Hindenburg Line! When I saw parts of this line from the ground and the country through which it runs I could not help but marvel at the taking of it. Truly our troops are wonders.
And now for the great news for you. At last the C.O. has applied to have me sent to Home Establishment and I ought to leave France in about ten days time. I
