of what an offensive patrol is like when we find Huns. Of course you must not take it for granted that every time we see a Hun we get him, for generally they never give us a chance to get near them unless they have the advantage in numbers, and quite often not even then. Of course, I must admit that the Hun in the air has been having a pretty "thin" time and his great losses in pilots and machines have no doubt affected his morale and made him adopt the policy of conservation of their air resources rather than the overcoming of ours.
The Flight-Sergeant has just come in to say that a new machine is ready for a test so we shall have to go and test it before it can be used over the lines. Love as ever
