is an awful town now, with its rations and new curfew law.
I am so glad to see, dear Mother and Dad, that you are keeping well. I suppose by now the garden is occupying a great deal of attention, at least from Dad. The leaves are beginning to sprout here and the grass is taking an extra green hue so I suppose the summer will be here before we realize it. The sox you speak of sending Mother dear, will be just the thing. Some of the sox I brought from home have now worn out after a year's hard service. So your R.F.C. crest is much admired. I am glad. It really is a very handsome crest. By the way as you probably know the R.F.C. has ceased to exist and all the air services are incorporated in the Royal Air Force. I am Lieutenant, R.A.F. - not flight-Lieut. nor Second Lieut. please. The squadron and wing
