The country where we are now is far more open and interesting than the one we left, but I am afraid will be very hot and dusty in the summer time.
Daily we see examples of the wonderful French roads. They run in absolutely straight lines for miles on end and they say that in peace times are as smooth as pavement. From the air they look like long narrow ribbons stretched across the country - excellent land-marks for us indeed.
I see Tommy has finished writing and is lying down for a sleep before dinner. I think I will close and do the same as I need it, so cheerio, with love to you both as ever
