cant write profusely. Sunday 1st September. A terrible day We are in a storm. We are not allowed to go on deck. My back is aching dreadfully. I am covered with large red spots. The doctor has given me medicine to take.

Monday 2nd. Still bad.

Tuesday 3td. Wednesday 4th. Sitting up on deck.

Thursday 5th. On deck. The Japanese.

Friday 6th. Writing letters home to post in Queenstown. The Woods leave up this evening. Not sorry. Weather fine.

Saturday 7th. Weather still fine. This evening we saw Holyhead. Mary & I stood at the bow of the ship & sketched it. Saw a great many vessels of all description. am sorry we are going to leave the ship. Going to sit up till we reach Liverpool, we will soon be there. 12.AM. in the Mersey have just seen two rocket, we are not to land till tomorrow.

Sunday 8th. Liverpool. Landed this morning. Mr & Joseph Bushby came to meet us. We went to this Great Northern Hotel. everything very comfortable. The station just outside the hotel door. had good hot bath, which we enjoyed immensely. Went for a drive to Sefton Park, the beauty
