Starting from Victoria, Vancouver's Island with a Surveyor and fifteen Men, for the purpose of completing a Survey commenced two years previous, defining the line between the Dunsmuir [illegible] from the [illegible] land: we were landed at Alberni by the C. P. W. Co Steamer Maude on the 29th [illegible]
