Sergeant-Major ill - Sgt. Franelle acting S.M. All day with specialists laying out lines of fire with Quinton's signallers giving telephone communication lecture on probability factors. Maj. takes officers 6 - 7:30 reading puffs and ranging on line of observation. Long walk with Quinton - weather cold and cloudy.
