Lie in late -- Heavy rain most of day -- Revisit les Denoeud & ofd Vve. Lecocq -- made very welcome -- Strawberries & cream again Jack Ensch gets back from hospital -- charged with 15th May 20th -- struck on back of head by concussion shell & stunned (Jack Ensch killed Oct 1915 -- bullet through brain)

Swim in canal at Béthune -- usual parades

The lad who got by court martial Two years hard labour got drunk in front line & wanted to climb over the parapet -& Tackle Fritz singlehanded

Pull out 11 pm - Tiresome march in drizzling rain via Estaires to Neuf Berquin
