Oct 7th 1917 Miss Russell Dear Frend, Just this card hoping it finds you & all your frends in the very best of health as it leaves me very well bar a cold in the Head. I must not foget to send you my hearfelt thanks for your kindness in sending me parcels through the Can Red Cross, they are about all we have to look forward to, we are all longing for the war to come to an end.
