I am now fully qualified after going through all the courses in the infantry training. I shd. have said that we were transfered from the [?] to this Reserve last Sept. - i.e. all the "A2" category now. We didn't like the way they went aabout it as our treatment there was poor: but since coming here we have had a splendid time. A hundred of us came to this reserve, which consists of B.C. men & reinforces the 2nd [?] & the [44th?]. They have given us every consideration & our stay in England has lasted longer than we expected: [?] [?] boys are now being sent over in draft on the completion of training. I have had three periods of six days live, with free travelling twice & half fare voucher the third time so I have no complaints on that score! Those were in August, October, and New Years.

We had a splendid time in camp at Christmas. The extras were reasonable. We had scrambled eggs & bacon, with the usual etceteras, for breakfast: soup, turkey, sausage, [?] [vegeb?]; [?] pudding & apple for dinner.
