Dear Folks,

Here goes again I wrote a few days ago, but I got time to night so I better get busy. I am in charge of the picquet so I got to stick around and I cant go out to the pictures or a Y.M.C.A. Concert. We have had a couple of dandy lately. they are just about ten minutes walk from the Horse Lines there are three big tents and a Y.M.C.A. canteen and reading & writing room. the Y. picture show is free and also there Concert tent. the other picture tent is five cents and yet I see a lot of the crazy beggars back in Canada are kicking about the Y. believe me if it wasent for them some of these places would sure be pretty dead with absolutely no place to go. especially times like this summer. when there has been an advance and there are no civillians Why say right up at our gun position there is a Y. in an old Fritz dugout it is about a fifteen minutes walk from the guns. and we can buy stuff there we cant get in our own canteen at the horse lines, and some things cheaper we can buy at our
