[Mis?] Evans travelled down to Dover with me she was looking very nice; the country was lovely with all the fruit trees in flower; I went to the Burlington [T?] found a note from Capt Rawson; as I went and saw him at the tennis courts; he wanted me to spend the night at his new house, but I had not time to go. he had just had a weeks leave + his wife had caught 7 salmon averaging 24 pounds each in the [Wye?] [The?] sent their best wishes to you and hope that you will come and stay with them.

I didned with Commander + Mrs Evans. they were very kind Eveans had a week [around?] [?] he is stationed here in Dunkirk
