I take the greatest pleasure in writing you these few lines to let you know that I am still in France in the best of health and getting on O.K. it has been fine weather untill a few days ago and now it is raining more or less all the time it is the winter season setting in and if it is any thing like last year it will be bad enough of all the miserable climates in the winter it is this part of France there has been some big things pulled off over here this summer and you bet the Canadians made themselves conspecious on every occasion and are holding their end up with all other troops over here I think I told you in the last letter I wrote you that our Battallion was broken up two Comp A. & C. Coy are with the same Batt as Scotty Gilchrist & the Brierly boys and their Colonel is a Major out of our Regiment and it is as good a Batt as ever came over here I was in C. Coy but just a few days before were split up Billy Cook who is a Major now sent
