Dear Friend

I recieved your very welcome letter today and must say that I was very glad to hear from you and to hear that you & all the rest were well & getting on O.K. I am getting along fine so far and so are all the rest of the boys. We have been very lucky so far having had very few casualities in my company there have only been a few from up north that have met with bad luck I guess you know Billy Fletcher that used to be in the hospital at Barkerville he got a very nasty but not dangerous wound in the hand and is in
