our front line troops could not be beaten for loyality to their cause & to thier officers & above all to one another. My experience as to officers is still of the best. Never one but that I have been proud to know & serve with. I have always found that they appreciate plain straight talk man to man(without of course any pretence of insolence) & did so like to have you show that you beleved they would right a wrong if they could. however we can I hope find time to have talks on things as we each saw them during these past 3 1/2 years while the world was being held from slipping off into unknown space. Things will not be quite the same to very many of us, if to any but if all goes as it should they ought not in many cases be worse. If I am luckey I may get to Barkerville befor the snow is gone. I think I should enjoy walking over fm Stanley on the crust on one of those mornings between the sleigh & wheel [line]. Kindest regards to Mrs. Tregillus & to other ladies of the Wool fund etc Best of withes to yourself & other old [tillicums] who I hope soon to be able (in the good old Cariboo way) to jangle with in person I am Yours Truly Ernest Seeley
