these Chemests in the Front line do not have a map as they have to continually drill in to & examine dud shells of Fritzs as he is continually sending over new stuff & we must find out what it is to beat it. His last (befor I left) so called Mustard gas is bad stuff but is not so bad as a gass. It is not mustard gass but the army knows it as that, I think I know its real name, got a hint from the Cariboo Doctor I had in hospital last winter. I do not tell others what I think it is as it might make them unduly scared of them. I must quit soon as the last post has gone & it will be light out soon. Remember me to Alf & laughing Margey & to any other kiddie chums you think keep us in mind. Gordon MacArthur & his sister & I were pretty good chums & Little Doris Kelley. Please tell little Frank McCarthey that I say hello to him & hope he is getting on well & that his leg is getting stronger. He is a wierd little chap
