At times this game of war is terribly nerve racking & you get filled with a blind & terrible rage against the men & nation who so delibeeratley forced this war on to the world. At those times you feel as if Kaiser Bill & people had you in mind in particular. This happens when you are having big shells thrown at you & can do nothing in return or when you see as I did today 50 or 60 men writhing in pain with gass poisining & know that it was those people who started & enjoyed the use of gass at first. We beat them at gass today as almost every other thing but dirty tricks. Still for all that Fritz is a good fighter & usually does put up a hard fight. Still we need not forget that even when he had a lot the best of it he could not drive us back as we drive him to day.
