That is one of the worst aspeck of war that our best so often get killed off first. I had George Hamilton of Fr George as a travelling chum back & over when on leave. Also met Malcolm McNiven at the Maple Leaf Club in London in fact Hamilton & I met C. Boyd in the Bath room both of us stripped starke & in comes C. Boyd you can guess what a noise for a minute or two. Boyd looked well & was in good heart. G.H> is a cpl. M. McNiven is 100 r/c man & a good man at that & one soon sees it when with him when he is sober & he is very seldom if ever any thing else out here. I had not see Mac for a long time but often here of him by asking others. F. Stevens is just now on leave but is doing Blacksmith work when with us I met Jack Westover some time ago & others with him I did not see as I had tow friends waiting for me
