Since I got your letter I saw a lot of the Cariboo Boys in the 67th i got a day off & went off purposely to see my old Co. i got a kind welcome from all I met in fact nearly all the Co, both Cariboo men & others knew me & it was a very pleasant hour or two I was with them. I did not see Scotty but was very pleased to hear he had been recomended for honours ( since got the D.S.O) what he did was splendid i am told & he has I have several times heard always tried to do his bit, no shirker about Scotty. I am tickled to death that he has won out. Too bad that a fine shohun young man like Boyd gets killed off
