We lay near the 67th for a few days on the Same front & I had short chats with a few of the Cariboo Bunch. We passed then one night on a famous road. It is a custom among the army when passing another Batt at night to enquire what Batt. some one asked & I heard 67 so kept a lookout to see if I could see a friend ( it was pretty dark) I just reconised Chester B. long form as he passed & holled hello C. then there was a choros of hello Seelys. It was the Cariboo Bunch (good old 12) Would you please give my respects to Mrs Stone. I am going to write to her soon if I can get time. It is the combination of time & chance to write that is hard to get. I am glad that you 3 old timers & friends P.G.T.B. & F.2.T. have got that quartz. I dont know of any combination I would be better pleased at. I shall continue this letter in another envelope.
