I have been made to practice twice drilling a platoon. once withour own which resented it & execueted the orders in a very slovenely way & our Co S.M. who ordered me to drill them noticed it & told me that I did much better drilling them than they did doing it The other time was with a strange platoon (44 men) but they took it in good part & after I had drilled them a while the S.M. took them& mixed them in a knot & then said Seeley Here they are all tied up. untie them & put them in to platoon
