We have first class sleeping rooms but secon class meals still these are good, well served & clean & we are all much pleased with our boat trip. Cook is with us since we left Hazelton but still leaves the arragments to me. We will be Vancouver in 3 hours & I have just asked him about shore leave (Boat stops there 3 hours) he told me to give all the steady mean leave. I shall let all go on shore as it is Sunday. The air here today is full of smoke froom many local fires some of which we saw they did not appear to be of any extent. The scenery along the G.T.P. to hazelton from Prince George is very poor but I should say it is a very fair farming country when it is cleared. The timber is burnt but [ page cropped on digital image}
