2) success in getting such a livley bunch together in so short a time after we started the second time Ben Scobie was leading man & is a model. Fortunately he is strong & held on to Norrie ( his side mate) by the wrist & talked to him at times kindly & some times not so kindly. Scobie does not get full & with out hime the poor corporal had a poor show. It was dark so we did not look so bad. But s surprising how much confushion one or two drunks make. Butt all the boys have got the spririt of war in then except perhaps Robb Norrie & Westover. I dont think Norrie can make it, he seems just a whisky bum to me & thinks of nothing else I expect to see him get kicked out as a confirmed drunkard. We are on the boat now & are going to Victoria to train
