Yes, I think your advice of "stay in Eng." is all right, but what would happen if everybody stayed here? The result in France and elsewhere would be disastrous. However, being the only one left and it appearing as though I had some considerations coming to the old folks accordingly I am not going to make any rushes France-ward. The war isn't over yet by somewhat; and I reckon I yet may have all the France I want or is good for me without tearing any shirt over it. There is only one chance in a thousand, of my being alive today had I come over when I first wanted to - with the original 29th, and I owe that to my parents intervention.

I have been some six months and over in England now; and have seen quite a lot during that time. Went up to Edinburgh, Scotland via the west coast + returned via the east (from London) a couple of months ago, and besides have visited Ashford, (Kent) Hastings, of ancient fame, and Colchester, (Essex).
