he is free untill the next call comes & that is when the whole bunch has been gone thru but we were always right there at the finish every time. So far So good, we lived thru those trials manfully. Tues. night passes were issued to everybody on the draft, good untill 10 p.m. Wed. night, we couldn't make us of ours tho' as they had decided we were to wear kilts, (can you imagine it without laughing.) We had to put our spare time in getting our new regalia in shape & also in marking our overseas draft goods so nobody would swipe them. We were all fixed up Jake by noon Wed. & on going into the Quarter Masters Store, the Sergeant in charge told us we had been scratched off. We looked up Liuetenant Beatson, the officer in charge of the draft & found to our sorrow that our papers hadn't been straightened out in Calgary yet. He sayed he was sorry but it wasn't his fault & that we could make the next draft in a few weeks. That was alright but
