I have one crumb of comfort & that is that, it is rumored the supernumerary officers who went over last Wednesday are simply being cleared out of England & go to Havre[?] office[?] like schools & wont see the Front for months. Saw Hughes had an inspection on Friday & made a speech at which he said he was going to have 10 Divisions all in France - Same kind of front as we have now - with 4 Divisions always at the Front & changing them now so that all shall get active service. Whether the silly blighter can can carry through part of this scheme remains to be seen, anyhow its clear the 4th Division will go to the Front very shortly - they go to France I believe on the 8th. I saw Graham Anderson on Saturday & he's still on light duty. It is not his wound that is worrying him but either the Fistula or its results. Poor chap. He told me he had a very spicy letter from you giving him all the news & magnificently by the type written. He's quite cheery.
