My God Dodie, how I wish I could get in that strawberry patch at Forters, as we rarely ever get any fresh fruit over here, we will surely have some good times when we get back and will have to make up for lost time. May is certainly doing her part these days and the simple life in Powell River is dangerous, please remember me to both when you see them. How is Clarence these days? as is he still in the home guard. I forgot to tell you about my leave, I had eighteen days in England and spent the whole time in and around London and had a wonderful time. I went to the Derby with Col Leckie, John Jukes & Charlie Stuart, and we had a grand time and all came out about even.
