Now I shall hope to hear from you sometime before Xmas, on the 6th November we celebrate our anniversary here at Ruhleben; I must get some crackers & things sent out for Xmas & try to make it as homelike as possible under the circs. I wonder what "[?] [?]" is doing all the time. Gerald's brother, Cecil, has been home wounded, so I heard, not very bad though I think. The place you speak of where your friends brother is, I do not know. I can quite well imagine you spent with a ten lb. salmon, the largest I [?] [?] in Norway was 18, & that took me about half an hour to bring in, but the water was running very fast, & I had to be careful as there was much timber floating down, a thing you are not troubled with as far as I remember, but it's grand sport, this last summer was the first for 22 years our river was deserted! So please to hear
