Nov 12. A great day. Published terms of armistice. Very stringent but generally approved. Germans required to retire well behind the Rhine, to surrender 5000 guns - 30000 mgs , 5000 loco s & 15000 railway waggons - all submarines surrendered without [illegible] - We to arrange & feed Germany - Later Germany urges discussion of peace terms as famine imminent - Soldiers' [illegible] formed & Hindenburg places his army at its disposal.

Joan & George Bulkeley & their son (my godson) Arthur had lunch with me& had a look round. Took whole Roberts family except W.R. Baud to dinner at Jules, Jermyre St & then to Coliseum a great performance . Cii concert party put on a number which was well reviewed. London beginning to be lighted at night - a great change - Also clocks striking.

13. A quiet day in London- weather mild - shopping

14. Still mild & fine - Went to Wandsworth & saw Maj Maclean again- very washed but holding his own - Dined at Tock Tavern alone - Celebration quieting down - said goodby to the Haven.
