Nov. Very pleasant billets - Best we have ever had. Country flat with wide full ditches - good roads - & [illegible] - People well to do & self respecting. Portuguese billetted here & not at all popular. A most peaceful place (In the German push of 1918 this place became about the front line). Saw B.C Salmon in the windows here for the first time.

12. Left our luxurious billetts & travelled by bus to Loginghem. Beautiful Day after frosty night. Good billets. Major Wilmot & I walked to Labruissiere near BROAY to dinner - Very enjoyable outing.

13. Bussed in pm. to Billers au Bois - old camp.

14. Rested & organized & prepared.

15. Moved up to ZIVY Cave in pm by train & marched into line CHAUDIERE SECTOR & relieved 6 Glosters 48th Div

16. Fine. Quiet sector but large area.

17. Had a look round he line.

22. Very dark night up to now. Relieved by 22nd in quick time - went out early with Meredith - Relief quick - complete by 7.20 pm.
