July 2 Bn moved forward to Douvigny Boyaffles[?]. [intelligible] offrs went to Barlice[?] [intelligible] I prosecuted. [intelligible] with [?] when we met Major R Burde & Stan O'Vell.

3. In evening Bn went into [intelligible] wh. training details under Capt Briggs went to [intelligible] - I got in late at night & had much difficulty in finding quarters - Divn Hqrs at [intelligible] Bgde at Fosse 10.

5. Parades. Road with [intelligible] to Maisure Reitz - He had a great time with his horse who got away & galloped through a wheat field.

6. Major Lotta came out & took over & Major Kirkland came out also.

7. Training for 404 strong went over to Bouvigny[?] Boyaffles under Capt Briggs to Bde Training Bn under Major Reynolds.

9. In pm walked up to [?} in support in cite St Pierre, a suburb of Leus. [intelligible] warm spot. Very interesting being in [intelligible] & looks at Dupres. Great show of flowers & fruit particularly the poppies in the old N. [intelligible].

10. One moved up to front line.
