31st Bn pulled off successful raid. 2 prisrs Mch 31. Sunday . Heavy shelling. Our BnH.Q. [?wicheski] House blown in both ends and strangely no casualties though some were buried. v.f ew. cas. in Bn.

April 1. Our guns very busy. Enemy retaliation feeble - [?] 2 - Some snow and bombardment heavy & continuous. SOS put up by D. Co about 10 pm. Result a very lively time for a while. Only 2 casualties. 2 1/2 in snow - all quiet by 11 30 pm

3. Snow [?]. Heavy shelling

4. Relieved by 22nd Bn. all shelling done by us until about 3 AM when enemy became alarmed and put on barrage causing us 4 cas - These relief night - were very anxious times. Came out with - Meredith]to Bois des alleux - Last men got in at 6 AM

5. Fine but cold. Stragglers still coming in Bn resting in tents.

5. Good Friday. H.L. in YMCA. Capt Vettersra Padre. (This man was a complete failure)
