Mch 5th (My birthday) - went for a walk with Mo to [illegible]. Saw some German prisoners coming in. Lt. W.V. Maclean (afterwards Major died of wound received at Anceins - a fine chap) [illegible] back after 1 years absence wounded. Celebrated my birthday in Champagne at mess.
Mab 2 - Walked with Major Latha & Meredith to Ariane Derurfs, Lille Road, & afterwards quartered with Rob Ross in Burnt Hill in trench. Adj HP being at Lille Posh under Major Latham & Col. Prower 8th Bn Dickie Day with him took over from us.

5. Some snow at night, walked with Col. Ross & Major Wilmot to Bn billets in huts at Le Pendu near Chau l'Acq. 9. No. Capt Leslie left us. Bn reached in blinding snow storm to [illegible] Bouche - Billets very poor & cold.
10. Bde parade. Inspection by Genl AW Currie([illegible] commander). [illegible] Borden Prince Arthur of Norwaught . Very cold. Had a talk with Gen'l Currie who promised hospitality to Joe B & I if we come to Camp.
