Kiss for Cinderella. Very foggy and trains late.

Dec 28 - Another frosty morning. Took some photos bicycled with Mr H R to Weybridge Heath to see Mrs Gillespie - Lunched at Flexlands & there to town for shopping. Tea at Rumpelmayers. Dined at Scotts & to Samson & Delilah at Aldwych. Thence once more to Woking & returned to Officers Pavilion at 2 am & so ended a notable holiday. Very tired

Frid Dec 29 Dull & blowy -- Caught the train Victoria 6:50 AM with a train load of disconsolate officers. Rough but interesting crossing to Calais - 4 hours to wait - Left at 8 p.m. & reached Bethune at midnight. Bus to Hersin - Exceptionally dark & stormy night. Reached Transport Lines after many wanderings at 2 AM
