Mond Aug 14 Returned to Scottish Wood for the day. At night marched up to front line trench & took over 14-23 Q relieving B & D Cos. Quiet day light shelling. At night great strafing about P & O trench. The King present on Kemmel Hill.

Tues Aug 15 Quiet day in our trench. No casualties. At night went out into no man's land with bombers. Moonlight.

We'dy Aug 16 At 7am given 75 men of 29th & 102nd Bn with Lieut Bryden to take down Shelley Line to Ecluse. Fortunately area won't being seen by enemy. Quiet day in Ecluse. At 11pm rejoined Co. Left trench cont behind. March thro dank & pouring rain to D (Alberta) Camp Reminghelst. Good huts & quarters.

Thurs Aug 17 Nothing much doing except preparing for inspect.
