Satdy June 17 Finished musketry course. Excellent address by Col Prismall who is an ideal officer. Got back to Otterpool & left for London at 3.35. Stayed at Windsor Hotel & spent evening in walking about darkened London. Full of soldiers & women.

Sunday June 18 10 am to St Pauls. Then walked & motor bussed to 224 Kew Road to see Len & Winkie & Rachel. Lunched with them & then walked thro Kew Gardens. Lovely day. After tea went back to London. Great crowds. Dined at Grand Hotel 9/-. Back to Otterpool before midnight. Crowded trains, all blinds down.
