and bombs. The noise is deafening. Think what a science war is, when in the middle of the night great guns miles away can all open fire from different points of the compass & all hit the same mark.

We seem to have the best of the Germans in every branch of war here at all events. Every time he ventures to discharge his weapons the artillery concentrate on him & the machine guns sweep him so that he is soon sorry that he drew attention to his existence. He is however resourceful & brave & a difficult foe.
