I may be back commanding a platoon somewhere soon.
My extraordinary good health quite prevents any argument or suggestion that I am not fit for front line service. My age is the only thing and that certainly does make one feel antique. Genl Burstall (Sir H.E. Burstall) is not quite 2 years older.
I must now write a line to Jess. She is awfully good in every way. Next leave should come about Christmas if things speed up a bit. The next 30 days ought to see the crisis of the war & I hope the last crisis.
