This scratch is really due to Jo - I think for its object is to thank for you the last parcel + her hand is most prominent in it though its principal content, the maple sugar, came from you. When I first saw the sugar I thought it would not be a success for the weather was very hot. However it suddenly cooled + is now quite chilly + I am perpetually asked what I have done with "all that maple sugar." This tablet is you can see already getting to work. The roar of our own guns at this spot is so tremendous that it is very difficult to do anything. It is not surprising that horses + men get
