I don't suppose you see old Jimmy Smith [illegible] the clergy there is no one in particular now. We may get Owen of Vancouver back to this Bn as Chaplain - our present man is a rotter - I called him a damned liar to his face yesterday + I had many sympathizers.

Mother's cakes + toffee +c were fine. I have made [illegible] friends (for 24 hours) with two French kids in my billet by means of the toffee.
