Rachie is about my height, a nice bright but plain girl with a red face. Jack a pale slip of a boy of about 10 with good manners and a fine appetite.

Con & Cecil are here today though the latter's illness prevented them from coming on Christmas Day. Con is one perpetual interrogation mark and does not impart much nor is what she says free from exaggeration.

She says that Will is going to marry his present housekeeper, Mrs. Darling. The lady in question certainly carries the keys of the establishment as if it belongs to her but that is what she is there for since Birdie (Susan) does not care to do so. That young lady is of a most independent type.
